Phew, what a year! At Paramount Commerce, we’ve launched new products, made impactful partnerships, been recognized for our noteworthy contributions to the payments industry, and rolled out new programs for our team members. So let’s rewind time and have a look at the highlights.
In the summer, we turned up the heat by launching our feature-rich payment solution Instant Bank Transfer in Canada. As industries are struggling with credit card acceptance rates, this is where Instant Bank Transfer really shines. Instant Bank Transfer was built with innovative features such as 1-click express deposits and in-game deposits. These features allow consumers to make deposits to their online merchant accounts quickly and securely without leaving the merchant experience. A tested and proven solution in the US’s online gaming and sports betting markets, Instant Bank Transfer brings delivers industry-leading conversion, ubiquitous bank coverage, and state-of-the-art risk management.
We kicked off the year with a major partnership. Paramount Commerce partnered with Flinks, a leading financial data analytics, and connectivity platform, to power payments for Canadian merchants. This partnership enables Paramount Commerce’s payment solutions to have connectivity to all major Canadian banks as well as tools to access enriched data through Flinks. This partnership also came at a time when Ontario’s regulated iGaming market was set to launch. So when the market went live, Paramount Commerce was ready to equip merchants with one of the most popular payment methods in Canada: bank-account-based payment solutions.
Our mission has been to simplify payments for our merchants and consumers. Now whether that is through offering best-in-class payment experiences, participating in important regulation discussions, or providing merchants with the proper tools to expand into a new region such as Canada, we do it all. And while pursuing that goal of simplifying payments, our hard work was recognized with an award. On June 8th, 2022, our industry contributions were recognized as Paramount Commerce won Online Payment Provider of the Year at the 2022 SiGMA Americas Awards hosted by SiGMA – World’s Gaming Festival. This award continues to motivate us to continue our efforts to create more innovative solutions and features that simplify payments.
Not only did Paramount Commerce have a lot of company wins this year, but we achieved major team wins as well. The Paramount Commerce team grew this year, adding 20 new members across multiple offices. Additionally, 16 of our members were promoted this year. And lastly, we added a variety of new programs for our team members. Now while there were many, we have put together three of our favourite programs which were launched this year.
Summer 4-Day Work Week
Our people are our best asset, which is why this past summer we implemented our very first Summer 4-day work week. This allowed our employees to enjoy the summer. Over 76 percent of our employees mentioned that they were able to get all of their required work completed in four days. With rave reviews from our team members about our summer 4-day work week, we have intentions to bring it back next year.
Matching Pension Plan
Financially preparing for retirement is very important for our team members, which is why we introduced a matching pension plan for our employees this year. We contribute a matching contribution on a per-pay basis, up to an annual maximum of a percentage of their base salary.
Quarterly Reviews & Recognition
We were so excited to roll out our quarterly recognition program this year. Quarterly employee recognition helps us consistently reward a team member’s contributions. With over 80 percent of our team members feeling their work is valued by the organization, it’s critical to reward our team regularly.
2022 was a big year for us, both industry and company-wise, but we’re just getting started. 2023 will be even bigger! Paramount Commerce’s Chief Operating Officer, Dave Roe, said it best “Our team will continue to support merchants through meeting compliance conditions and supplying innovative payment solutions. We’ll also work hard to ensure our team members have the best work experience possible.”
